First it was Sister Krivanec's Birthday!! We enjoyed making her a delicious yellow cake with chocolate frosting (reminded me of Brother Southard) and had a great party with her. R bought her chocolates and wrote her a card, and we enjoyed being able to mess around with whipped cream (I'll have to send a picture of the whipped cream war we had...) and singing happy birthday to her! We also went to Chili's for lunch which was fun.
Wednesday we did a contacting Blitz with our zone. We all went to Jurong East and tried to talk to people! We had a lot of success.
We had a great district meeting about positivity, where our DL took us outside, and made us shout "Hurrah for Israel!" as we wore these crazy hats he bought us. It was so fun! I loved it!!!
Friday we were able to go on exchanges! I got to go with Sister Parcell - the one who is the Poynter's friend. It was very fun, and I learned a lot.
Saturday we were able to go to a dock to contact with some ward members! It was fun to have them come along with us, and it helps. They say "these sisters are here to spread the gospel! Give them your number so they can teach you". It's just more effective.
Also, this week R is still progressing well towards Baptism! We had a lesson that made her cry. She is going to India to see her mom this week, but she will for sure be baptized on November 29th! Pray that I can stay one more transfer to finish training and be at her baptism!!! Anyway Y P is also going to come to our ward on Sunday! I'm really excited!!! We just prayed and planned well, and then invited her to come to our ward instead of Bedok. They just said yes, they would. It was truly a tender mercy! Z W is also doing good, and I feel like she is progressing, which is good! We have some good potentials this week, so hopefully we will get some new investigators! I know we will...I feel like it's coming!
I just had a great thought that I want to write to you! I'm starting to really be confident in myself! Mainly, because I know I'm not perfect, but the Atonement is. So, as long as I try and keep my heart and mind focused on the work, and God, then I can always be happy, because the Atonement is perfect, and so was Christ :).
Also, Elder Woo spoke in Sacrament meeting and gave a great talk on the Psalm of Nephi - look through it for a pattern on how to overcome weaknesses!!
Anyways, thought for the week? As I studied the life of Jesus Christ in Jesus the Christ (my resolution after conference) I've learned so much, and am so grateful for the perfect example that we have to follow! I love the gospel, and I love that we get to have a Savior who can lead us, guide us, and love us whenever we need it. I know this church is true, that God loves us, and that this is His work.
Love you all!! Thanks for your prayers and support!!!
xoxo
Sister Crabb
We asked her if there was a story behind the proposal she received over the phone - who the man was, etc:
Haha! I'm not really sure, I think I talked to him on the train, and then when we called him, because he said he was interested in learning about Jesus Christ, he just started asking about if I was single, and if I lived in Singapore, and if my family was here. He said I could come to his house, and that he would call my dad and ask for permission. I guess I just talked to him on the train, got his number, and then he decided that since I'm American it is going to be alright to get married! I also got asked by a Chinese lady this week to be her son's boyfriend. That was funny! She showed me pictures of him, and said she wants him to marry an American girl. Man, I can't wait to be home and just be around American, LDS boys. They are the best anyways!! :)
